Park Rules
1. All entering the campground must stop at the check-in area at the office upon each arrival into the park. If you are already registered, and your camping placard is visible and current, you will be waived on through the check-in area. All leaving the park at the end of their stay must check out at the office upon leaving the park.
2. Firearms, air guns, pellet guns, bb guns, bows and arrows, crossbows, and fireworks are all prohibited on Jackson Lake Campground and Park, LLC property. Anyone caught in possession of any of these items will be required to immediately vacate the property, without refund.
3. Although we have increased our supply of picnic tables in 2012, not all campsites have picnic tables, they are subject to availability. Do not remove picnic tables from shelters or the Settler’s Lodge. Anyone caught damaging, misusing, or mishandling the picnic tables will be charged $150 for repair/replacement and be required to vacate the park, without refund.
4. Anyone caught tampering with site markers will be required to leave park immediately.
5. ATV’s, four-wheelers, and dirt bikes are prohibited in the park (excluding those used by park personnel).
6. Excessively loud vehicles, such as but not limited to, vehicles with missing or malfunctioning exhausts, motorcycles, six-pack installed vehicles, and semis may be excluded from the property completely or required to park outside the park entrance near the office at managements discretion.
7. Car and camper washing is not permitted.
8. Lawn sprinklers, water slides, filling pools and other devices that cause continuous water use are prohibited, as all of our water is fed by wells, this causes water pressure problems for the rest of the campers.
9. The speed limit in the park is 10 MPH. Children have so few opportunities these days to be carefree kids, please do not rob them of this opportunity at the park, keep it slow, so they can ride bikes, play hide and seek, and explore the peaceful quiet outdoors without having the danger that vehicles at higher speeds cause. We love our JLP Kids.
10. Loud music at campsites is not permitted at any time.
11. Violent, crude, foul, sexually explicit and/or abusive communications are not permitted in the park. This includes written, verbal, and body language. Keep it clean, this is a family place, yours and mine.
12. Illegal drug use and legal drug abuse is not tolerated at Jackson Lake Campground and Park, LLC at any time. This includes alcohol! If you have this issue, leave it at home or stay at home, don’t bring it here!
13. Glass bottles are prohibited at the park. There will be a $50 clean up fee for broken bottles found at your campsite.
14. No one may vandalize, damage, destroy, steal, misuse, and/or abuse, any property on Jackson Lake Park property. Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
15. Keep your items secured, Jackson Lake Park is not liable for lost or stolen items.
16. Jackson Lake Park is not liable for any injuries to person or property on facility grounds.
17. Fishing is catch and release only, no license required. There will be a $75 charge for any fish not returned to the lake or pond after being caught.
18. No swimming or wading in the lake or pond. Over 50 years of fishing? Can you say a billion rusted hooks? Very dangerous!!!
19. Check-in and check-out for campsites is noon. Early check in or late check-out is subject to availability and will be charged a $2.00 per hour fee. There are different check-in and check-out times for cabins, please view cabin rules and or contact management for specifics on cabin check-in/check-out and rules.
20. No one enters the park without being a registered camper or paying admission or event pricing.
21. Jackson Lake Park does not have 24 hr. security in the park. Camping is at your own risk.
22. No more than two vehicles per site. Vehicles must be parked completely on the rented campsite. Additional parking available at pool building. Vehicles are restricted to roadways, parking lots, and parking spaces, off-road use will be considered trespass. No parking on roadways.
23. Daily and seasonal rented RV sites are permitted one RV and one tent located entirely on the rented site. Tents on RV Sites may only be occupied by children under 17 years of age.
24. Tent sites are limited to three tents per site (this includes screen tents and pop-ups). Tents must be located entirely on the site rented. No tent camping on full hook-up sites. Full hook-up sites are those that have electric, water and sewage.
25. Each camper is limited to one electrical box/two plugins. No camper may use electric outlets intended for a campsite not rented by that camper. If you are using the electric outlets of another site you will be required to pay the rent for that site in addition to the rent for your site. Use of another sites utilities, without making additional payment arrangements with Management is considered theft of services and will be treated as such.
26. Outdoor lighting must be turned off between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. each night.
27. RV’s must be heated by propane. Anyone who is using electric heat will be charged an extra $3.00/day or $75/month, depending on their payment arrangements.
28. Campsites are to be kept neat, clean and aesthetically pleasing at all times. If park Management reports a problem with the appearance of your campsite, you will be required to remedy the situation immediately or you may be asked to leave JLP.
29. All vehicles must have a visible pass hanger showing at all times within the park, and upon entry to the park.
30. Indoor extension cords may not be used outdoors at any time.
31. Quiet time is 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., no exceptions.
32. Cutting down, damaging, destroying flowers, trees, bushes, and/or shrubs is not allowed. Anyone caught cutting down, damaging, destroying flowers, trees, bushes, and/or shrubs will be charged $150 for the cost of repairing, replacing, and/or rehabilitating the plant life damaged, law enforcement will be called, and you will be immediately expelled from the park, without refund and not permitted re-entry into the park.
33. Electric Golf Carts are permitted in the park. Golf Cart operators must be licensed drivers and driven with care and caution at safe speeds.
34. You may not bring firewood into the campground, due to the severe problem with Ash Bore Beatles in Ohio. Firewood may be purchased at the office until 9 p.m. Fri, Sat, and Holidays and until 7:00 p.m. all other nights.
35. Not all sites have fire rings, you may make a campfire without a fire ring, as long as it is contained by stones or bricks. Fires may not be built larger than three feet in diameter.
36. Campfires may not be left unattended, all campfires must be attended by a competent adult, please extinguish any fire when leaving your campsite or going to sleep. You are responsible for any damage your fire causes.
37. No Pitt bulls, Rottweilers, or any threatening breeds or natured dog, or excessively noisy dogs are permitted in the park. Pet owners are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet. Pets not registered at time of campsite registration will be required to be removed from Jackson Lake Park immediately. If management determines that your dog falls in one of these categories you will be required to immediately remove the animal from the park, no exceptions. Listen I’m a dog lover but, I also firmly believe no one should have to deal with your pet if they don’t want to, period. If you have concerns this applies to you, call before you bring your beloved dog to camp.
38. Ohio has a leash law. Pets must be kept leashed, chained, tied out, caged or contained at all times. This is any pet.
39. You may only chain or tie out your pet to property that belongs to you, not Jackson Lake Park. However, at no time may your pet be outside your camping unit unattended.
40. You must clean up after your dog immediately.
41. Trash should be placed in receptacles and dumpsters. Littering is prohibited in the park, please it’s beautiful here, let’s keep it that way.
42. Dumpsters, trash receptacles, and pick-up service is to be used for trash accumulated during your camping stay only. No tires, furniture or hazardous waste (i.e. paint, medications, motor oil, chemicals, etc.) may be disposed of in the park, regardless of when you obtained these items. Anyone caught dumping trash from outside the park, including tires, lawn clippings, and trash from your home or the prohibited items listed above shall be immediately expelled from the park, without refund.
